Living abroad makes us appreciate friendship amongst Malaysians. Having been in the Middle East for nearly nine years now, my wife and I have always enjoyed having friends over to our home - for sembang2 and makan2. As long as our friends do not mind our 'sempoi and informal way', we are only too happy to welcome them. At our house, there are no protocols - our guests are treated as brothers and sisters.
