Owning up~!

I am taking a bold move to place my name as the title of my blog. I am owning up to every thing I will be writing here. This will be my forum, to express or digress, as I wish. 

 Owing up!

A definition I found on the web says, own up confess, admit, tell the truth, come clean, come out of the closet (informal), example use in a sentence Last year my friend owned up to having an affair.

Although I cited an example of a friend owning up to having an affair, my interest in the phrase 'Owning Up' is more about Taking Responsibility!

In our daily life we play many roles; a father, a husband, an employee, an employer, a boss to a few, a subordinate to another, a citizen, a voting member of a constituent, a consumer, a neighbor, a writer, a reader, a driver, a passenger, and many more...

Even without changing our personality, we can be an active role player, such as a speaker, at a certain time, and a passive player, such as an audience at another time.

Each time, and in every role, we must own up to who we are, in that role. To take responsibility - to play our part as who we are and not as someone else.

In owning up to who we are - we will learn to be more honest as a person, and especially to ourselves. 

Hence, by making my name as the title of the blog, I am constantly reminded that I am responsible for what ever I write here. I will write as honestly as I know how, and it will be my view point which I can own up to. You may not always agree with me, but that is ok. At least, you would know who I am and what I stand for.
